When I first arrived at the Wealthspire office in New York City, I knew that I would gain exposure to marketing in the wealth management industry. What I did not expect was how quickly I would contribute to projects that supported a firmwide rebrand, get to work with leaders across the organization, and develop a broad scope of skills across a variety of functions.
My name is Naischa Puri, and I am a rising senior at the University of Notre Dame studying English with minors in Marketing and Philosophy. Over the past two and a half months, I have had the opportunity to work with Wealthspire’s incredible Marketing team in New York City as part of its 10-week internship program. I began my summer eager to learn and contribute, and after diving in headfirst, the experience has totally exceeded my expectations.
After meeting my fellow interns from the Wealth Management and Accounting teams and familiarizing myself with the NYC office space, I was greeted by the warmest welcome from the Marketing team. From my very first conversations with them, I instantly recognized that I would be spending the summer surrounded by extremely dedicated and authentic people.
Immediately, the work I was assigned was a clear reflection of the culture of collaboration and growth that is fostered at Wealthspire. I was given meaningful, hands-on projects and felt that I was making a genuine impact while simultaneously expanding my skillset. The projects that I worked on ranged from content strategy, social media and digital marketing, data and revenue analysis, print advertising, artificial intelligence initiatives, and collateral development with software platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce. Through these projects, I gained a deeper understanding of how strategic marketing supports business growth, strengthens client relationships, and communicates our firm’s unique value.
I was also delighted by the way every member of the Marketing team took time to get to know me and make sure that I knew I was a valued member of the community. Through individual conversations, team events, and shared meals, I was able to build genuine relationships and gain fruitful insights into both marketing and wealth management beyond my day-to-day responsibilities.
One experience that stood out to me this summer was attending the InvestmentNews gala, an awards ceremony celebrating excellence in wealth management, at the end of June. Joining executive leaders and members of the Marketing team at Wealthspire gave me the chance to engage in thoughtful conversations about the industry, leadership, and professional growth.
Another enriching experience that I will carry far beyond my internship was meeting with Breanna Rae Blaney and CMO Angela Giombetti. Breanna, founder of The Anya Institute, shared meaningful insights on aligning success and wealth with happiness, purpose, and fulfillment, a perspective that feels especially relevant in wealth management. Conversations like these are essential, and I am grateful to be surrounded by grounded, thoughtful women who are committed to bringing these holistic discussions to the forefront. “This summer has been an incredible learning opportunity, and I have been pleasantly surprised by the breadth of projects I have been able to work on. Whether it’s client portfolio rebalancing, retirement projections, or client meetings and communications, the Palm Beach Gardens team has invited me to learn and contribute in ways that have meaningful, tangible impacts. I am looking forward to presenting my end of summer capstone project, where I can show my growth as a professional and enthusiasm to enter the wealth management industry full-time.”
Taylor Czarapata, a Wealth Management intern from the Madison, WI office, added:
“This summer at Wealthspire has reinforced my passion for financial planning and wealth management. One of the most valuable parts of the experience has been attending client meetings and seeing how advisors help clients achieve their goals while building long-lasting relationships. I’ve also had the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, including developing a client engagement tool to help advisors identify opportunities for deeper household involvement.
What has stood out most, though, is the people. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and willing to share their knowledge. Between the hands-on experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities, I’ve learned so much about the industry and gained confidence in pursuing a future career as a financial advisor. I'm grateful for everything the Wealthspire team has invested in us as interns this summer.”
Logan Saltzman, a Wealth Management intern from the Melville, NY office, also shared:
“One of the most rewarding aspects of my internship has been how welcoming and supportive my team has been from day one. They have consistently encouraged my growth both professionally and personally, while giving me meaningful opportunities to contribute and learn. The relationships I’ve built with my team, fellow interns, and colleagues across the office have made this an incredibly positive experience, and I know many of those connections will last well beyond this summer. I also appreciated that every day brought an opportunity to learn something new and deepen my understanding of the wealth management industry.”
Lilly Meyer, a Wealth Management intern from the Madison, WI office, said:
“My internship at Wealthspire was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. The team was incredibly supportive, and the program kept me engaged all summer. As I get ready for my senior year, I feel much more confident after the hands-on experience I gained and the client interactions I was able to observe. I’m definitely going to miss this internship program when it ends!”
Graham Carter, a Wealth Management intern from the Potomac, MD office, reflected:
“Throughout the summer, I have strengthened my financial literacy while gaining hands-on experience with the technologies and platforms that are shaping the future of wealth management. What stood out most to me was the ability to make a meaningful contribution to the firm and its clients. It has been incredibly rewarding to not only learn from talented professionals but also to see my work create value for the clients we serve. I am grateful to be part of such a collaborative and supportive environment, and I look forward to the experiences, challenges, and opportunities that the remaining weeks of the internship have in store.”
I am so grateful for the opportunity to cement my passion for marketing in wealth management by getting to work on such a wide range of projects and collaborating with a fabulous team. These past 10 weeks have strengthened my confidence as I have honed my skills across a diverse set of disciplines.
