Brian Sean McAuliffe

Managing Director

As an advisor, Brian brings years of experience working in close consultive relationships with corporations, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and families. He joins the team from previous roles at GM Advisory Group, JP Morgan Advisors, and Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. His liberal arts education at Columbia College and JD from Notre Dame Law School have equipped him with a broad and deep intellectual foundation from which to understand each client, analyze their financial condition, and present custom solutions.

In Brian’s early career, he was an investment banker to the healthcare industry, which served as a solid background in the competitive and research dynamics that drive successful companies in the largest economic sector of the U.S. economy and was the catalyst for his ongoing passion to locate and invest in America’s most successful growth companies. Brian has been an approved discretionary equity manager for well over a decade.

Brian shifted from investment banking to private wealth management mid-career because he wanted to put his energy and capacities to work in a more impactful way. Advising accomplished CEOs, entrepreneurs, businesses, and families, many of whom are using their financial success to give back to society in remarkable ways, has resulted in a meaningful professional and personal experience.

An engaged philanthropist, Brian is currently President of two private foundations serving the Columbia University community. He is a Co-Founder of The Thomas Merton Institute for Catholic Life, an Institute named for Columbia’s most famous Catholic, and one of the 20th Century’s leading spiritual writers. The Institute offers a unique and upgraded model to bring the Catholic intellectual and pastoral tradition to secular universities.

Brian is also a member of the State Bar of Texas (Inactive).
