Liam Desmond
Advisor Associate
As an Advisor Associate in Wealthspire’s Potomac office, Liam works closely with clients and advisors throughout the financial planning process. He helps manage ongoing client relationships, coordinates day-to-day requests and action items, and serves as an additional point of contact for clients. Liam joined Wealthspire full time after completing the firm’s wealth management internship program in 2023. Liam began developing his interest in financial services while attending Virginia Tech, where he served as treasurer of the student chapter of the Financial Planning Association. He also gained investment experience as a healthcare sector analyst for the Student-managed Endowment for Educational Development (SEED), contributing to the management of a student-run investment portfolio. Liam earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in History from Virginia Tech, where he was also involved in the club swim and bass fishing teams.
