Ian Weinberg, CFP®

Managing Director

Ian has been providing comprehensive wealth planning strategies since 1987, joining Wealthspire after serving for almost 30 years as founder and CEO of Family Wealth & Pension Management LLC. As an advisor, he specializes in financial and estate planning, investment management, and retirement planning for high-net-worth individuals, professionals, business owners, and executives.

Recognized for his insight and understanding of financial planning, Ian is regularly quoted and interviewed by top financial news outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business Daily, Bloomberg, Barron’s, Reuters, SmartMoney, Forbes, Business Week, and The New York Times.

Ian has served as a Board Member of The Financial Planning Association (FPA), Long Island Chapter, where he was Vice President of Ethics and Vice President of Education. He has also been a faculty member of Long Island University’s Certified Financial Planning Program and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.

Focused on giving back to his local community, Ian was previously a Director of The National Children’s Leukemia Foundation and received the organization’s Lifesaver Award in 1996 for his “tireless effort to assist children and their families.” He is a two-time bone marrow donor through the New York Blood Center and the Leukemia Foundation. Following 9/11, Ian and his firm were sought out by various relief organizations to provide financial consulting to the families affected by the tragedy. A member of The Interfaith Nutrition Network’s Estate Planning Committee, Ian has also served on the Charitable Planned Giving Committee of the Northwell Health System.

Residing in Jericho, New York, he enjoys golfing, skiing, listening to music, and spending time with family.
