Eric Sontag, CFA

President, Private Client

Eric Sontag is President of the Private Client division at Wealthspire, where he oversees strategy, growth, and operating leadership across the firm's multi-office private wealth business. He works at the intersection of M&A, talent, and organizational design, playing a lead role in evaluating and integrating acquisitions as Wealthspire scales, and in shaping the firm's approach to advisor development, client experience, and investment platform.

Eric joined one of the firm's predecessor, Sontag Advisory, in 2009 and later led the internal effort behind its merger with Bronfman Rothschild, a combination that became part of the foundation for Wealthspire. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Sontag Advisory and held several positions at BlackRock earlier in his career.

Eric has served on multiple industry boards, including Schwab's Technology, Operations, and Service Committee and Fidelity's Service Steering Committee. He has been interviewed by Barron's and FT Wealth Management, and is a frequent panelist at industry conferences. He is a board member of Advisers Give Back, a non-profit focused on pro-bono financial planning, and a member of the Young Presidents' Organization. Eric holds a bachelor's degree in economics and sociology from Cornell University and is a CFA® charterholder.
