Specialized offering brings together wealth management expertise and industry experience to serve athletes, entertainers, creators and other professionals with complex financial lives

NEW YORK – October 6, 2026 –  Wealthspire today announced the launch of Wealthspire Sports & Entertainment (WSE), a dedicated practice serving professional athletes, entertainers, creators and other individuals whose careers and financial lives often require specialized advice and coordination.

The practice is led by Frank Marzano, CFP®, managing director, head of WSE and co-head of Wealthspire Family Office (WFO). Marzano brings more than 25 years of experience advising high-net-worth (HNW) individuals and families, including professional athletes, entertainers, producers and other creative executives.

Today, WSE oversees approximately $2.88 billion in assets under management and serves over 200 ultra-HNW clients, families and institutions.* The practice will be a direct vertical of WFO, capitalizing on the existing infrastructure of family office accounting, lifestyle and concierge, bill pay, wealth strategy and its own investment platform all suited to the specific service requirements of athletes and entertainers. Wealthspire can also connect clients with affiliate Ground Control Business Management, which caters to those who have complex day-to-day financial needs in entertainment, media, sports and other industries.

“Success in sports and entertainment can create tremendous opportunity, but it also brings a level of complexity that traditional wealth management may not always address,” said Marzano. “Our role is to help clients see the full picture, make informed decisions and build a financial foundation designed to last well beyond their playing or performing careers.”

The practice is designed around the realities facing sports and entertainment professionals, including concentrated and variable income, complex contracts and compensation, tax and estate planning considerations, business ventures, real estate, charitable giving and the transition to life and work beyond a primary career.

Wealthspire Sports & Entertainment also works closely with the broader ecosystem surrounding clients, including agents, attorneys, accountants, business managers and other trusted professionals, helping clients coordinate decisions across their financial lives.

“Some of the most talented people in the world have built careers in industries where change happens quickly,” said Mike LaMena, chief executive officer of Wealthspire. “They deserve advisors who understand that environment and can bring both specialized expertise and the resources of a broader wealth management organization to the table. WSE reflects our commitment to meeting clients where they are while pivoting and evolving with them throughout their lives.”

For Marzano, the new practice represents an opportunity to build on decades of experience while creating a broader and more dynamic platform for the next generation of athletes and entertainers.

“The best relationships in this business are built on trust,” Marzano said. “That means being there before the big contract or deal, through the years of success and for the decisions that come afterward. We want to be a long-term partner who helps clients turn what they’ve earned into what they want their lives and legacies to become.”
